Another troubleshooting post I'm afraid. My Outlook 2016 started repeatedly crashing and restarted. The short version is that I contacted Microsoft Support after trying all the usual remedies. I tried the following:
- Uninstall/Reinstall Office
- Delete/recreate mail profile
Microsoft support managed to figure out the problem. It was due to some RSS feeds I had configured in my outlook. I resolved the problem by deleting them.
- Load Outlook
- Click File
- Click Account Settings -> Account Settings
- Click RSS Tab
- Remove all the RSS feeds
